Wedding Gown: To Fit or not to Fit

Filipinos have a wedding tradition that a bride never fits or pre-wear a wedding dress until her wedding day for bad luck. We have created a poll for you to help us, Do you still believe in this tradition? In other countries they don't have this belief, They fit their gowns to fix anything that need fixing.

Early fitting can guaranty the best fit and alteration can be made before your wedding day.

Booking: The Accomodation and Reception

The Chiline T House was originally chosen for accommodations of the family only and wedding headquarters/preparations. We had a hard time looking for a suitable venue for the reception. There are places that are good, but have expensive food or has limited time. On the otherhand, Chiline can accomodate 100 persons and has no limit if the guest chooses to stay a bit longer for additional fee on our bill price. So it is not only us who will enjoy the place, hope our guest will have a blast with the place and enjoy the scenery.

Booking: The Church

We have chosen this church already, all we have to do is submit the necessary documents to book the date. On other churches, the preliminary requirements is different. Some may ask for a deposit/monetary, others require the authenticated documents outright, while others just a copy of the original then later before the wedding date the authenticated copies should be furnished.

We have booked the Church (Ina ng  Laging Saklolo) and the date is Official, July 7, 2012  and it's a Saturday. We have submitted the preliminary requirements such as a copy of our Birth Certificate and Baptismal Certificate.

Will re-submit current copies of documents such as Baptismal Certificate for Marriage Purpose, Marriage License and CENOMAR 6 months before the wedding.

Getting Started

First order of battle, deciding on location. We both agreed to have our wedding in Tagaytay City. We then head out and take a trip to the weekend capital of Batangas. Prior to this visit we have done our basic research, browsing a lot of blogs and websites about Tagaytay Weddings. Google made good suggestions.

This is the Church we have chosen, Ina ng Laging Saklolo. Located on the road to Palace in the sky.

What we liked about this church?
1. The place is solemn, this church is not that big and not that popular among other churches in the area. Meaning, for us we won't be having much problems choosing our prefered dates. Not to many couples trying to get married here, lowering the competition.
2. The church is holy, not focused on making money. No offense, but some administrations are more focused on making money than giving the service to society.
3. The people behind this church is very warm and accomodating. They welcomed us with great hospitality.
4. Booking Price. Affordable and cheaper compared to bigger ones.
5. Location. Accessible from the national road.
